A recent report written by The Economist and APT (A Mastercard Company) has envisioned a store of the future taking in to account what existing retailers have already implemented in store.

“The Store Of The Future” will merge online facilities such as in-store online orders or click and collect as well as offering more locally curated products. There will be a focus on customer loyalty programmes and price cutting to engage customers offline. Most notably there will be more in-store events, demos and activations to creating a more unique experience to keep customers coming back.

Finally, the most important note for the Dubai based retailers will be to empower their employees by training their staff to become more knowledgeable and focus on customer service.
